Teaching

I adopt a problem-based approach to teaching students through group projects that leverage technology to support and augment human capabilities and address complex real-world problems. In the process, I strive to help students achieve their academic and professional goals by enhancing their knowledge and problem-solving abilities.

Currently, I teach following design courses:

AI Experience Design

DES 3643, Spring, University of Oklahoma

Adopting the design thinking process, in this course, students address complex design challenges by using AI as both a creative tool and a design material. Through lectures, hands-on workshops, and team projects, students explore AI capabilities and limitations and learn to apply AI to augment, transform, and challenge traditional design methods. By integrating AI into their projects, students strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

UX Design & Prototyping

DES 3633, Fall, University of Oklahoma

This course introduces the design thinking process as a foundation for solving design challenges through meaningful UX design. It combines lectures, user research, hands-on design activities, and critique sessions to build foundational knowledge of design methods and tools. Through a semester-long project, students collaboratively and independently research, prototype, test, and communicate design solutions to real-world problems.

In the past, I have (co-)taught following courses:

Generative AI in Art: Opportunities and Challenges, Fine Arts Perspectives
